Meet Dentist Teresa Kang, DDS
Teresa Kang, DDS, PLLC
My favorite part of dentistry is meeting and learning about my patients and working with them to achieve a healthy smile. I love what I do and could not imagine myself doing anything else. I try my best to make my patients feel comfortable and cared for. I personally call all my patients that had treatment done that requires anesthetic. I want to make sure my patients are doing well and want to be available to them if they have questions. I try to educate my patient and encourage them to take and active part of their oral health. As a mother I enjoy seeing young patients and encourage parents to bring in their children by age 1 or by the time their front teeth comes in. This way we start healthy dental habits early for a lifetime of healthy smiles. My team and I do our best to help out patients feel at ease and listened to. Even patients with high dental anxiety we treat successfully, through good communication. We work hard to treat our patients well. My team and I take the time to listen to our patients and their concerns. It is my goal to have our patients feels comfortable and confident that their needs are our priorities. I also enjoy educating my patients about their oral health and systemic ties to their body as a whole. My staff also shares the same dedication and focus on patient care. We work hard to provide our patients with excellent customer service.
I am trained in many areas of dentistry and am confident that I will be able to help you achieve the smile you desire. I also pride myself on keeping up with the changing dental field and do my best for my patient. I am committed to continuing education and routinely attend continuing education so I can provide the families I treat with up to date, quality dental care and help my patients achieve a healthier and beautiful smile. My team and I look forward to meeting you!
Education and Continued Education
I attended the University of Washington for my undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery. I am a part of the Washington Academy of General Dentist Continuing Education Committee for the last five years; we help provide general dentists in the area quality continued education. I am also a part of several study groups in the area. I believe in lifelong learning and attend many continuing education courses. I also give back and participate in Donated Dental Service and do volunteer dental work when I can. I am active in the dental professional community. I belong to the following organized dental group.
- Washington State Dental Association
- American Dental Association
- Seattle King County Dental Association
- Washington Academy of General Dentist
Outside of dentistry I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my family. My husband and I met while we were in dental school at the University of Washington. We have two children Gavin and Kara that we adore. We are both from the Pacific Northwest and are very happy that my practice is close to our family and friends.
